Patna : Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan while addressing the 95th Foundation Day of Patna Medical College & Hospital (PMCH) cum Alumni Association meet on February 25, 2020, stressed on modernisation of PMCH in view of its glorious history. Addressing the function on PMCH campus, Governor Chauhan said this medical college is admitting 180 students in MBBS course every year and has 35 Departments including 11 Super Speciality Departments.

Governor Chauhan said that the State Government is working on an ambitious project to develop PMCH into a 5,462 bed hospital of international standard. He said that apart from PMCH, NMCH, IGIMS, and AIIMS Patna, other medical college hospitals in the state were also developing very well. The Governor said that PMCH has made significant contribution in the development of medical education not only in Bihar but at the national level as well.

State Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that Aryabhatt Knowledge University (AKU) , Patna, will start MSc ( Nursing ) Course soon. He also stressed on tree planation on PMCH campus. PMCH Alumni Association President Dr Satyajit Kumar Singh, PMCH Principal Dr Vidyapati Chaudhary, AKU VC Prof Dr Arun Kymar Agrawal also addressed the function.
