Sasaram : Rohtas district administration has planned to make all the villages in Rohtas district open defecation free (ODF) by the end of current fiscal but the Chhapra Primary School under Rajpur block in the district has no lavatory till date. Headmaster of the school President and secretary, Shiksha Samiti, have failed to do anything in this regard.
At least 106 students are enrolled at the school having two lady teachers and a Headmaster. As the school does not have a lavatory, the lady teachers and even the girl students have to go in the open to attend call of nature. That apart, the school has virtually been turned into stable some villagers keep their cattle inside and at the gate of the school and dung is piled up there making the atmosphere dirty.
Pramukh Anita Devi said that the matter had come to her knowledge and action would be taken against people who keep their cattle at the school. She said that the every village under Rajpur block will be made ODF at any cost. She said that lavatory will be constructed at the school soon.
