Patna: Bihar government on September 20 increased ex-gratia to the three army personnel killed in terrorist attack at Uri in J&K on September 18 to Rs 11 lakh each. The state cabinet approved a propsal to this effect at its meeting chaired by CM NItish Kumar on Tuesday. All the three slain solediers hailed from Bihar.  Bihar CM Nitish KUmar had on September 19 announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the three martyrs.

The three soldiers of Bihar killed in terrorist attack at Uri were S K Vidyarthi, Gaya, Rakesh Singh, Kaimur, and Ashok Kumar Singh from Bhojpur district.  Three ministers attended the funeral of the three martyrs at different places.

The cabinet also gave its nod for signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) withCentral Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), Governmenmt of India, for implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST), likely to be rolled out from April 1, 2017.

The cabinet also approved Rs 2,100 crore as subsidy to Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd and its two subsidiary companies: North and South Bihar Power Distribution CompanyLtd, for making payment for power purchase from NTPC in the current financial year.
