Patna : Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind while inaugurating the foundation day function of A N College, Patna, stressed on improving the quality of higher education across the state. He said the state government was making efforts to end the shortage of teachers in university and colleges of Bihar and soon new teachers would be performing their duty. A N College falls under Magadh University (MU).

The governor asked the universities to maintain their academic calendar. Youth also need to develop skill while pursuing higher education, the governor said and added the students need to be job oriented. He also referred to the third conference of the VC held recently at the Raj Bhavan where all the new VCs had made presentations regarding developments proposed in their respective varsities. The governor expressed hope that the MU would implement its action plan.

Education Minister Ashok Chaudhary said that the state government was determined to stop use of unfair means at the examinations. MU VC Qamar Ahsan and  Principal, A N College, Prof S P Shahi also addressed the function.
