Governor forms panel to sugget ways to strengthen varsity, college labs

Patna : Bihar Governor cum Chancellor of state universities Lalji Tandon on October 23, 2018, constituted a committee headed by Pro Vice Chancellor, Patna University (PU), Prof Dolly Sinha, to suggest long and long-term measures to strengthen the university and college laboratories.

The committee has been directed to submit its recommendations within a month on the basis of which the Governor Secretariat will take decision for the mordernisation of university and college laboratories soon.

Prof Amrendra Narain Singh, Physics, PU, Prof Bihari Singh, Chemistry, A N College, Patliputra University, Dr Tanuja Singh, Botany, T P S College, Patliputra University, Dr Ashok Ghosh, Bihar Pollution Control Board, Dr Diwan Aqram, Chemistry, J R S College, Jamalpur, Munger University, and Dr Sonu Ramshankar, Marwari College, Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur, are other members of this committee.

The Governor has constituted the committee as he felt that the existing Physicas, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geography, and Psychology department labs were not well equipped and unable to meet the requirement.
