Patna : Bihar Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities Satya Pal Malik on November 25, 2017, asked the Vice-Chancellors of the universities to prepare the Academic and Examination Calendars by March 2018 compulsarily and hold Sports and Cultural competition. The Governor said that an Academic Audit of all the universities will be carried out to assess the requirements of the varsities and staps would be taken to fulfil their needs. The VCs’ meeting will now be held every month on third Wednesday.
Addressing an important meetings of the VCs at the Raj Bhavan, the Governor also asked them to complete the election of students union by January 15, 2018. He also asked the VCs to complete arrangements for biometric attendance of teachers, research scholars and non-teaching employees by March 2018.
The VCs were also asked to complete the revision of courses by March 2018. They were also asked to provide for separate toilets for girl students/women at all the university and college buildings by March 2018. The Universities and Colleges were asked to get NAAC Accreditation on time and strengthen their Management Information System (MIS). Several VCs made their presentations at the meeting inaugurated by Governor Malik. The VCs of varsities where academic session and exams are delayed were asked to regulate them at the earliest.
