Patna : World Number 3 Badminton player P V Sindhu, 22, India, on November 25, 2017, defeated World Number 6 Ratchanok Intanon, Thailand, 21-17, 21-17, in the semifinals at Kowlon, Hongkong, to reach the final of Hongkong Open Super Series. Sindhu will face World Number 1 Tai Tzu Ying, Chinese Taipei, in the final. Tai Tzu Ying defeated World Number 5 Sung Ji Hyun of South Korea 21-9, 18-21, 21-7 in a tough contest.
In the Men’s section, World Number 4 Chen Long, China, defeated world Number 13 Anders Antonsen, Denmark, 21-14, 19-21, 21-17 in the semifinals to move into the final of Hongkong Super series. Chen Long will face the winner of the match between World Number 6 Lee Chong Wei, Malaysia, and World Number 8 Shi Yuqi, China, in the final.
