Patna : Bihar Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities Lalji Tandon on May 21, 2019, directed all the Constituent Colleges in the state to submit their respective Self Study Report (SSR) at the earliest for NAAC Accreditation. Governor Tandon directed his Principal Secretary to review the progress on this front regularly.

All the 260 Constituent Colleges in the state have submitted their Preliminary Report (PR) for 2018-19 to the All India Survey For Higher Education  (AISHE). Till March 2019, only  99 Constituent Colleges had submitted their respective PRs to the AISHE. Now all these 260 Constituent Colleges have been asked to submit their “Institutional Information for Quality Assessment ( IIQA)” at the earliest.

So far, 114 colleges have submitted their IIQA whereas only 12 colleges had submitted their IIQA till February 2019. Of the 114 Constituent College, who have submitted their IIQA, 23 have also submitted their SSR. Fifty-two Constituent Colleges have neither submitted their IIQA nor the SSR. The Principals of these 52 colleges have been directed to submit the IIQA and SSR immediately. The Governor has also directed his Principal Secretary and the VCs concerned to take action against the Principals found lax on NAAC Accrediation front, according to Raj Bhavan sources.
