Governing Council of Bihar Skill Dev Mission to be re-constituted

Patna: The governing council and executive committee of Bihar Skill Development Mission will be re-constituted. The fifth meeting of the governing council of Bihar Skill Development Mission chaired by CM Nitish Kumar approved a proposal to this effect on Friday.

The governing council of the Bihar Skill Development Mission will now be re-constituted under the Development Commissioner. Principal Secretary/ Secretary of all the departments related to skill development, representatives of Industries associations, institutions of higher education and educationists will be members of the governing council of the Mission.  Principal Secretary/ Secretary of Labour Resources department will be the Member Secretary of the governing council.

Labour Resources department secretary Dipak Kumar Singh said that the executive committee of the Mission will be re-constituted under Principal Secretary/ Secretary of Labour resources department. He said that the hostels of Industrial Training Institutes will now be under the control of Bihar Skill Development Mission. The programme providing communication skill and basic computer training to youths would now be known as `Kushal Yuva’.
