Raxaul :   Sleuths of Central Preventive Customs, acting on a  confidential information,, arrested a gold smuggler from Raxaul-Delhi Satyagrah express  train at Bettiah railway station in West Champaran district on Friday  and recovered gold  of  worth Rs 6 lakh from his possession.

Deputy commissioner of Customs division, Motihari, Pawan Kumar, talking to newsmen said  that the arrested gold smuggler was  identified as Khub Lal Sah ,a native of Barawa near Raxaul in East Champaran district,  and the gold has the seal of a foreign country. Sah had confessed that he was carrier  of smuggled gold  and a  jeweller of Raxaul Amar Kishor  had given this gold to him to deliver it to a person at Gorakhpur, UP, Kumar said.  Kumar said that the customs officials had conducted raid at two establishments of Amar
Kishor at Raxaul  and some papers had been seized and  they were being examined.
