Muzaffarpur : An irate mob set ablaze an empty school bus at Chakkar Chowk after it dashed a bike in Maripur area under Kaji Mohammadpur police station, Muzaffarpur, on December 15, 2017, morning, resulting in the death of a girl student and serious injury to her father.
The girl and her father, residents of Khabra area, were going to Chhata Chowk on a bike when the school bus dashed their bike from behind. The girl and her father fell on the road. They were rushed to the hospital but the girl died before reaching the hospital while her father is undergoing treatment there.
The locals chased the bus and stopped it at Chakkar Chowk and set it afire. Taking advantage of the situatio, the bus Driver and Helper fled away. The Fire Tender reached the spot and extinguished the fire. Police have seized the half-burnt bus.
