Buxar : A  teenage girl Kiran Kumari committed suicide by throwing herself before a running train near Raghunathpur railway station under Danapur division of East Central Railway in Buxar district on May 31, 2017,  after she was declared fail at the Intermediate examination 2017 conducted by  Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). The results were declared on May 30. Later, the GRP brought the body to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

Kiran Kumari, daughter of Kuber Kumar of Kashmiria village under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpuri district, had passed her matriculation examination with third division in 2014 from Upgraded High School, Dhrubdiha, and was admitted to IA at Balika High School, Jagdishpur. She was sure of clearing the exam. But when she came to know that she had failed, she informed her father about it on mobile and said she does not want to live and disconnected the mobile. Her father tried to admonish her on mobile but in vain. She threw herself before a running train near Raghunathpur in Buxar district.
