Saharsa : A Saharsa Sadar police station March 21 team led by SHO, Bhai Bharat, on March 21, 2017, conducted raid in a redlight area at Bhartiyanagar following report that a Sitamarhi girl, who was living in Delhi, was brought over to Saharsa by a local man Feroz to push her into flesh trade. But, all the suspects had fled away from the place after locking the door of their houses before police reached there. Police, however, detained a woman and quizzing the girl, who exposed the sex racket in Saharsa town.
The girl informed police that Feroz pretended to be in love with her and had brought her over to Saharsa a week back on the pretext of marrying her but took her to the redlight area instead. But, Feroz’s aunt Salma Khatoon told the girl that he was already married to daughter of one Mohammad Jalil of the same colony and apprehended that she might be pushed into flesh trade. On March 21, the girl managed to come out of the redlight area and was on way to Saharsa railway station when some youth surrounded her and started asking questions. On getting information about it, Sadar police station team reached there and took the girl under its custody.
