Girl allegedly raped by cop in Dhanbad, City SP orders probe

Dhanbad ( Jharkhand) : A teenage girl, who accidentally rang up 100 for emergency help, would have had never imagined that she will suffer series of rape allegedly by a police officials for her `mistake’. The teenager of Bhuli of Dhanbad on May 2, 2017,  met City SP Anshuman Kumar to narrate how she was allegedly raped by Bhuli police station OC Arvind Kumar for her mistake. An inquiry has been ordered by City SP into the incident.

The survivor told her woes to her parents who on May 2 filed a complaint case in a Dhanbad court and later came to meet the SSP but in his absence met the City SP.

As per the complaint, the teenager few days back dialled 100 and when Bhuli OC Arvind came he asked her to accompany her to police station for correcting her mistake.The teenager along with her younger sister went to police station from where she was called at OC residence where after giving a mobile phone to the teenager’s younger sister to play game, the OC allegedly raped the victim in another room and later kept on blackmailing her on pretext of taking her nude photos.
