Patna: Union minister of state for small and medium scale industries Giriraj Singh on Wednesday alleged the organising committees of Durga Puja at different places in the state were forced by the administration and police to get the idols of Durga immersed in rivers, ponds and tanks.S

Singh said according to the Hindu religious traditions, daughters  and deities can not be sent off on Tuesday yet   the government compelled the puja organisers to immerse them on Tuesday itself.”An impression has been created that we are living in Pakistan not India,”he commented. His statement was supported by BJP MLA from Bankipore Nitin Nawin,who demanded an apology from CM Nitish Kumar for hurting the religious sentiments of devotees of Durga.

Meanwhile, in the coal capital of country at Dhanbad, Muslims deferred the Muharram’s Tajia processions for a day to facilitate movement of the Durga puja processions. The Muslim central committee leaders,Naushad Khan and Imtiaz Ahmad said, “we can wait. Their processions should not wait.” They also changed the route of Tajia processions for smooth movement of processions for immersions.Wasepur was once notorious for crimes and a film was also made on Wasepur, Gangs of Wasepur .
