Patna : World No 8 Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, 23, Indonesia, entered the final of HSBC BWF World  Tour Finals defeating World No 4 and reigning Olympic Champion Chen Long, 30, China, in straight games in semi-finals at Guangzhou, China, on December 14, 2019.

He will face the winner of second semi-finals between World No 1 and two-time World Champion Kento Momota, 25, Japan, and  World No 19 Wang Tzu Wei, 24, Chinese Taipei, in the final on December 15, 2019.

Ginting beat Chen Long 21-15, 21-15 in 41 minutes at Tianhe Gymnasium, Guangzhou, China, in SFs. Ginting won 42 rallies in the match to 30 by the Chinese. He won 5 consecutive points in the match to 4 by Chen. Ginting leads Chen 8-4 Head to Head. Ginting has won 3 career titles.
