Patna : A Gaya court on August 31, 2017, convicted Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky Yadav and three others in Aditya Sachdeva murder case. The quantum of punishment would be pronounced on September 6, 2017. Aditya Sachdeva, who had appeared at the Class XII examination, was shot dead at Gaya, the headquarters of Magadh Division, Bihar, on May 7, 2016, after he allegedly overtook the vehicle of Rocky Yadav, son of suspended JD(U) MLC Manorma Devi, while returning to Gaya from Bodh Gaya. Aditya and his four friends were returning to Gaya after attending a birthday party at Bodh Gaya on May 7, 2016, evening.
Rocky was arrested from his father Bindi Yadav’s mixer plant campus on May 10, 2016. Rocky was granted bail by Patna high court on October 19, 2016. But, the Supreme Court cancelled the bail granted to Rocky on October 28, 2016. The Supreme Court had on March 6, 2017, refused to vacate its order cancelling the bail of Rocky Yadav in the case. Aditya and his four friends were returning to Gaya after attending a birthday party at Bodh Gaya on May 7, 2016, evening.
