Ara: A gas tanker came into contact with 11kv live electric wire outside Bharat Gas Petroleum Plant at Giddha Industrial Area under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district and was gutted at about 5pm on Saturday. The driver of the tanker was received burn injuries and was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. Later, the fire brigade and the personnel of Bharat Gas Petroleum Plant doused the fire.

Chhote Lal Yadav, 30, son of Sri Prasad Yadav of Godiyara village in Nawada district had come from Kolkatta, West Bengal, to the Bharat Gas Petroleum Plant at Giddha Industrial Area under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district with a tanker full of gas on  Saturday. After unloading, he parked the tanker at the roadside but the tanker came in contact with 11 KVA live electric wire and caught wire as the wire was hanging low.
