Chas (Jharkhand) : Ganga House got the first place with 177 points followed by Sutlej House with 161 points closely followed by Jamuna house with 157 points at the second Annual Sports Day “ Spardha” of DPS, Chas, in Bokaro District in Jharkhand on December 20, 2019. More than 750 students along with dozens of teachers were present on the occasion in the cold morning breeze.
The school annual event started after the arrival of Chief Guest Dr Hemlata S Mohan, CCRT Chairperson, Chief Mentor DPS, Chas, with an impeccable March Past presented by all four Houses : Ganga, Sutlej, Jamuna and Ganga.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Dr Hemlata S Mohan said that sports teaches students to remain disciplined and physically fit. She asked the students to learn from defeats in life to work hard and never lose heart to win in future. Winning an winning teaches you to keep working hard in life with total dedication to always remain always a winner, Dr Mohan told the students.
