Sasaram : Teachers  and non-teaching staff of Ishwar Dayal Bhagwat Prasad Singh college, Gadhnokha, in Rohtas district, an affiliated colleges under Veer Kuer  Singh University (VKSU), Ara, are on the verge of starvation as they have not been paid salary for the last nine years.

Ranvijay Singh, Secretary, Teacher and  Non-Teaching Staff Union, of the college said that despite the order of Patna High Court and the college having enough fund, they have not been paid salary since 2008 on one excuse or the other. He said that in January, 2017, he had decided to set himself afire but the college administration assured to release their pending salary at the earliest. He said after the order of the High Court, the VKSU directed the college authorities more than once to pay the salary to the teachers and non-teaching staff. He warned if the college administration does not release their salary within a fortnight, the college employees would be forced to launch an aggressive agitation.
