Ara: A fraud took huge amount from several for getting them admitted to BA Part I in different colleges at Ara last year and escaped with the money overnight. When the matter came to light, hundreds of students staged demonstration in front of his rented house and also went on rampage at his coaching centre late Sunday evening.

Bittu Kumar lived in Harkhen Kumar Jain Hospital building and also ran a coaching centre “Lakshya Coaching Centre.” He had assured the students,, who came to his coaching centre for tuition, that he might get them admitted in B A Part I in the colleges of their choice and collected a big amount from them. But he could not do so and kept silence. When the other students were issued registration numbers and they were not allowed to fill up their examination forms, they found that they were not admitted anywhere. The cheated students staged gherao the residence of Bittu at Hari Jee Ka Hata and raised slogans against him. When they did not find the teacher there, the students reached his ‘Lakshya Coaching Centre’ near his residence and went on rampage there. They damaged chairs, tables and fans and blocked road. When the police came, the students narrated their grievances. The police pacified the students. Interestingly, no FIR has been lodged so far in this connection.
