Patna: The state government on Thursday set up a four member inquiry commission under the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952, to find reasons behind the lift episode on August 28 last year when BJP president Amit Shah was trapped in the lift at State Guest House (SGH).
The commission will be headed by Development Commissioner Shisir Sinha and will have Amrit Lal Meena, Principal Secretary, Building construction  department, Prataya Amrit, Principal Secretary, Energy, and Sunil Kumar, additional DG of Police as the members.
The Commission will submit its findings  within a month on two issues-Reasons behind the lift getting stuck mid-way from first to ground floor and a detailed reason for its failure,.
On September 1, 2015, too, Shishir Sinha was appointed as head of the inquiry commission on the issue and he had submitted his report on  January 22 this year. After submission of the report, the commission was scrapped. However, the government did not find the report cconvincing as it had failed in finding  factors behind failure of the Lift and also could not give details of the status of the Lift in which BJP president was coming down from his room at the State Guest House.
