Sitamarhi: Four minor girls of village Srikhandi Bhitha drowned in river Rato under Sursand block in Sitamarhi district on Sunday evening. Bodies of three girls: Nibha Kumari, 8, Shobha Kumari, 9, and Sanjira Kumari, 9, were fished out on Monday morning from different places. The Bhitha police oupost incharge Mihir Kumar supervised the entire operation with the help of local villagers and fishermen. Search is on for the fourth girl Nishu Kumari, 8. All the four girls had gone to take bath in the swollen river when the mishap happened. Former Sitamarhi MP Arjun Rai visited the bereaved families on Monday and assured them of suitable compensation.
