Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Exhibiting exceptional performance, four  students from DPS Bokaro qualified for the nationals for the second level of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) – a national programme for educating and popularizing science. Out of 12 students selected from all over Bihar and Jharkhand, four are from DPS Bokaro.

These students were selected on the basis of their performances in the four stage process at the State Level Camp held on February 5,  2017, at CIMFR – Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, Dhanbad. It included Written Test, Observational Analysis of Video Clips, Situation Problem Solving and Hands on Activities. Out of 12 students selected from all over Bihar and Jharkhand, four students are from DPS Bokaro.  Hemlata S Mohan, Director and Principal of DPS Bokaro, expressed her happiness over the achievement of the students and congratulated them. She also extended her best wishes to them for the Nationals to be held in Delhi in May 2017.

The selected students  are: Ayantika Sengupta, class  XI, state rank 1 –Rs 5,000, Ashish Harshvardhan, class  X B—-state rank — Rs 5,000, Bandini Bharti, class XI state rank 2 —Rs 3,000, Prajnapan Basu, class X A—state rank 2—Rs 3,000.
