Bagaha : Mukesh Kumar Mahto, 40, of village Chhataraul under Luukaria Police station was found killed under mysterious circumstances in a sugarcane field near village Kadamahiya under Valmikinagar police station in Bagaha police district in North Bihar on August 12, 2019, morning.
Police recovered the body and brought it over to Bagaha Sub-Divisional Hospital for autopsy the same day. Police Sub- Inspector (SI), Valmikinagar PS, Ajay kumar said that the cause of death would be ascertained only after the post -mortem report comes but prima facie it appears to be a case of murder.
Local sources said that the deceased was a resident of Chhataraul and had come to his in-laws’ place at village Kadamahiya and his body was recovered from a sugarcane field adjacent to the village with multiple injuries on his head , the SI said adding his TVS Motorcycle was found lying near the body. Mukesh Kumar Mahto was son-in-law of Rogahi Mahto.
