Sitamarhi:  The mortal remains of former Sheohar RJD MP Md. Anwarul Haque was laid to rest at his native village Garahia under Piprahi block in Sheohar district on Sunday. A large number of people reached the place to pay homage to the departed soul and attend his burial at the village. Several sitting MLAs, MLCs, former MPs, former MLCs were also present at the village burial ground.Haque died on August 12 night in New Delhi.
Md. Anwarul Haque won the Sonbarsa assembly election in Sitamarhi district in 1980 on Congress ticket but lost the seat to Karpoori Thakur in 1985. Thereafter he tasted half a dozen defeats in a row but won the Sheohar Parliamentary seat in 1999 on a RJD ticket. He used to support the poor and needy irrespective of their caste and creed.

Haque was born in 1944 and succumbed to multi organs failure at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia hospital New Delhi on Friday night. Several organizations in Sitamarhi and Sheohar districts held condolence meetings on Sunday to pay tribute to Haque. Former minister Raghunath Jha said Haque`s demise was a personal loss to him.
