Former Mukhia shot dead in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur : Unidentified criminals shot dead former Mukhia of Jagdishpur Baya panchayat under Paroo block of Muzaffarpur Amar Bhagat in board daylight on State Highways (SH) 74 near Paroo chowk on January 16, 2017. He  was rushed to a private hospital at Muzaffarpur where the he was declared brought dead. He had come to Paroo to attend a meeting of Mukhia Association.

During the  meeting, Amar Bhagat received a call from someone on his mobile with the caller asking him to come downstairs for a meeting nearby. He came out of the meeting hall and was moving towards a bank branch on the SH on his bike when criminals fired at him twice from behind. He was taken to Paroo primary health centre (PHC) first where the doctor referred him to Muzaffarpur in view of his critical condition.
