Patna: Former MLC Ramnath Gupta, currently on tour in Australia, visited the Indian Consulate General at Perth. Amit Kumar Mishra, an IFS officer of 2004 batch, is Indian Consulate General at Perth. Mishra, who belongs to Darbhanga, told the visiting Bihar leader about the presence of large number of Biharis in Australia and said they had excelled in the field of education, medicine and commerce. Some of them were working as professional lawyers for the last three generations. People of Bihar and West Bengal origin celebrated Durga Puja festival at different places in Perth too, Gupta said. They visited puja pandals at Perth.
