Foreign national woman held at Raxaul, has 2 passports but no Visa

Motihari : Immigration officials at Raxaul in East Champaran district of Bihar on August 13, 2019, arrested a  35 year old woman when she was trying to sneak into Indian territory from Nepal with passports of two countries  in two different names without visa. She was handed over to Raxaul police for necessary action. Raxaul is located on Indo -Nepal Border. Raxaul is 190 km away from Bihar capital Patna.

Raxaul Immigration Office Incharge A K Pankaj said  the woman showed a Passport issued from Ivory Coast, a West African country, in which her name was mentioned as Robe Yvonne, daughter of Robe Inocent. This passport was issued on May 8, 2019. She had no Visa  for India . Her real photograph was pasted on the Passport.

When two women SSB constables searched her, they found a mobile phone in her possession. During examination of the mobile phone, a picture  of  her another Passport was detected. It  was issued by Nigeria on  November 5, 2018  in which her name was mentioned as  Oje Comfort Chinaza. It was  also without Visa.  Her real photograph was also  pasted  on this passport.  Police and Immigration officials failed to  ascertain  her real name and nationality and informed the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to sources, the woman had first landed in Delhi on August 2, 2019, but as she lacked valid documents and visa, she was set back.

It may be recalled here that two Nigerians were arrested at Raxaul  in June 2018  when they were trying to enter Indian territory  from Nepal without valid documents. They are, at present, lodged in Motihari Jail.

The security and police forces  have been alerted on Indo-Nepal border in view of the Independence Day and every person
