Floral tributes paid to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Ara : Floral tributes were paid to the former Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31, 2017, on his 142nd birth anniversary.

Activists of the Janata Dal (United) under the presidentship of their Bhojpur district president Ashok Kumar Sharma organized a meeting at the party office at Ara and paid tributes to him. Garlanding the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the activists recalled his contribution during the freedom struggle and also post independence. They said Sardar Patel popularly known as ‘Iron Man’ played a pivotal role in unifying and integrating the country after independence. They vowed to follow his footsteps to preserve the unity and integrity the nation.

SHO, Charpokhari police station, Kuer Gupta, organized a meeting on the campus of the police station on to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and administered oath to police officials and personnel to maintain unity and  integrity of the country.

On the direction of the Urban Development and Housing Department, the birth anniversary function of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was organized at the office of Nagar Panchayat, Jagdishpur.
