Five school students, Bokaro DSP injured in accident

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Five  students of Bokaro Public school, who were on way to their school located near sector 2 crossing  by an autorickshaw, were  seriously injured around 7 am on August 31, 2016, when the auto carrying them collided head on with a SUV belonging to Bokaro DSP Punam Minj coming from opposite direction.

The DSP was also injured in the road accident. The DSP and all the injured students were admitted at Bokaro general hospital. The DSP was  seated in the SUV being driven by her driver and was on way to Rancho to attend a case at Ranchi High court on August 31.

Soon after this accident, dozens  of  residents of sector 3 and sector 2  rushed to the spot  and started pelting the DSP’s vehicle with stones and even damaged the  SUV.  Senior police officers including Bokaro SP Y S Ramesh rushed to the spot  and pacified  the angry crowd after sending all the injured to  Bokaro general hospital. Later,  the  SP shared the news with mediapersons stating that all injured were being treated  at Bokaro general hospital and the situation was fully under control.
