Patna : Five persons were killed and one seriously injured when a Tata Safari rammed a static truck at Mahadevsthan near a Dargah on NH 30 under Maner police station in Patna district at 2.15 am on July 4, 2017. The SHO, Maner police station, said that five persons travelling by Tata Safari died while the driver was seriously injured. Maner is 24 km away from Patna. The Tata Safari was completely damaged damaged in the accident.
The deceased were identified as Shravan Kumar, son of Keshav Rai, Naga Tola, Pappu Kumar, 20, Bhagu Tola, Rajesh Kumar, 22, Bhagu Tola, Ankush Kumar, 19, Sahalichak, and Nitish Kumar, 20, Bhagu Tola. The SHO said the deceased were returning after attending a marriage at Moudehi, Bihta, in Patna district. He attributed the accident to rash driving by the Safari driver. Three persons died on the spot while two died on way to the hospital.
