Five criminals arrested in Gopalganj

Gopalganj:  Town police, Gopalganj, on Monday arrested five criminals from Kargil locality when they were planning to commit some crime. Police also seized two pistols, five live cartridges besides a four-wheeler from the possession of the arrested youth. All the arrested youth were sent to jail after interrogation.

Police said that the Town police station had received inputs that some youth with weapons were planning to commit in Kargil locality behind a saw mill. On getting information, a police team led by SHO Santosh Kumar carried out raid and arrested five youth from there.

Police said that the arrested youth revealed that they were involved in an incident of loot at a trader’s shop at Purani bazaar a few days ago. Though they tried to escape after their arrest, the cops arrested them, police said. The arrested youth had been identified as Bunti alias Utkarsh, Rahul Kumar Singh and Gulab Hussain ( all native of village Bhojpurwa), Chotu Kumar (Arar locality) and Chandan Singh (Sri Ram Nagar).
