Bettiah: West Champaran district police led by ASP Rajesh Kumar carried out raids at different places and busted a gang of moterbike lifters of Bettiah town on January 22 night and recovered three motorbikes and two bicycles.
ASP (operations) Rajesh kumar said that the five arrested bikes lifters were identified as Vishal Kumar alias Bajarangi, Lal Mohammad alias Aqil, Khusi Alam alias Babbar, Parman Mian and Reyaj Ansari, all belonging to different localities of Bettiah town.
Police also arrested two extortionists Gyan Sao and Sachin Kumar wanted in a Bettiah town police station case during the drive. The ASP said that Gyan Sao was kingpin of a gang of extortionists.
