Five arrested in Gopalganj for selling smack

Gopalganj: Five persons including two women were sent to jail on Tuesday evening by the Town police station, Gopalganj. They were arrested from Arya Nagar locality under Town police station on Tuesday for selling smack (banned narcotic). Police also seized smack worth Rs 1.50 lakh from their possession.

Town police station SHO Santosh Kumar said that he had been receiving inputs about sale of smack under his area jurisdiction hence started tracking the movement of those involved in this trade. He said that acting on a tip off, a police team conducted raid at the house of notorious gangster Sintoo Paswan currently lodged in jail, at Aryan Nagar and arrested Najmul Khatoon, mastermind and wife of Sintoo Paswan, from there.
The SHO said that later police arrested Sarita Devi, Rambabu Paswan, Bittu Paswan, all residents of Arya Nagar, and Bunti Upadhyay, a resident of ward number-4 in Sareya locality. He said that police recovered 25 gm smack from the possession of the arrested persons.

Meanwhile, police sources revealed that the cops were carrying out raids to arrest one Bhabhi ji said to be involved in trade of smack. Sources said that this fact came to the surface after interrogation of the arrested persons, who revealed during interrogation that Bhabhi ji gang was involved in the trade. The Town police have also contacted their   counterparts at Barauli police station in the district tolocate Bhabhi ji.
