Fish trader shot dead at Muzaffarpur village

Muzaffarpur: A fish trader Gudri Sahni was shot dead by some armed criminals around 9 pm on November 26, 2017, at village Pitaujhia under Athauri police station in Muzaffarpur after calling him outside his house. Angry over the incident, the villagers blocked Pitaujhia road and also set afire a brick kiln and allegedly pushed one of its staff into it. The brick kiln staff sustained srious burn injuries and was admitted to Sri KrishnaMedical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, late in the night.

Land dispute with brick kiln owner Satish Singh was allegedly the reason behind the murder of Gurdri Sahni, said police. The wife of the deceased has lodged an FIR with police in connection with the incident making four persons named accused. Police have started investigation into the murder of Gudri Sahni but are yet to arrest any of the four named accused.
