Patna : A major fire broke out at G V Mall located on Boring Road Roundabout, Patna, around 4.30 am on May 20, 2017. The fire started from ground floor but soon engulfed all the five floors. Since the fire broke out early in the morning, no one was present at the mall and none was injured but all the three dozen shops located at the Mall were gutted. The Mall belongs to an RJD MLA, sources said.
Ten fire tenders were pressed into service to extinguish the fire. Eight guards were taken out of the Mall before the fire could spread, said police. An S K Puri police station patrolling team noticed the smoke billowing out from the ground floor at 4.45 am. It entered the Mall to wake up the private guards. The reason behind fire is yet to be ascertained.
