Gopalganj: An FIR had been lodged with Sidhwaliya police station by a cane grower Rameshwar Singh in connection with irregularity in weighing of  sugarcane allegedly by the officials of Bharat Sugar Mill at Sidhwaliya, Gopalganj. Mill officials including executive deputy superintendent RN Tripathi, Shashi Kedia and computer in-charge DB Singh have been made accused in the case. Civil SDO Mritunjay Kumar on January 24 said that investigation into the complaint was on at administrative level.

It may be mentioned here that one Rameshwar Singh, a native of village Bhojpurwa under Muhammadpur police station, had on January raised a hue and cry after he detected irregularity in weighing of sugarcane. He had also informed Civil SDO about it.
