Ara : A named FIR has been lodged by Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district against seven persons including Jan Adhikar Party(JAP) chief Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav and Rakesh Mishra for allegedly violating COVID-19 guidelines. The FIR was lodged on the statement of Barhara BDO under Endemic and Disaster Management Acts.

Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai on September 18, 2020, said that as per the provisions of the COVID 19 guidelines, political rallies, religious congregations, and social meetings are banned. If it is necessary to organise such rally, congregation or meeting, not more than 100 persons can participate in it. The SP further said that the JAP organised “Barhara Milan” at Babhangawa playground under Krishnagarh police station under Barhara block in Bhojpur district on September 16, 2020, and a large number of people participated in it. JAP supremo Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, Rakesh Mishra,along with hundreds of supporters also participated in it violating the guidelines and provisions of COVID 19.

The BDO, Barahara, lodged a named FIR against seven persons including former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav and Rakesh Mishra.
