FIR lodged against Ara surgeon after death of patient

Ara : A named FIR was lodged with Nawada police station on November 30, 2017, against a surgeon Dr P Singh in connection with death of a patient after operation. Police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

Pintu Chaudhary of Agiaon village under Garhani police station said that he had admitted his father at the private clinic of Dr P Singh in Katira locality under Town police station, Ara, on November 15, 2017, after he complained about pain in his stomach. The doctor operated  him but his father died after the operation. He accused the surgeon of negligence in operation.

Dr P Singh, on the other hand, said that the patient died after 13 days of operation and added had there been any fault in the operation process, the patient would not have survived so long.
