Ara : A named FIR was lodged with Karnamepur Police Outpost in Bhojpur district on September 29, 2018, evening, against five persons:  Brajesh Mishra, main accused in the murder of former Bihar BJP vice-president Bisheshwar Ojha, Kishun Mishra, both sons of Shivjeet Mishra who is in Ara jail, Mukteshwar Mishra, Umashankar Mishra, and Raj Kishor Pal, in connection with murder of Kamal Kishor Mishra, an eye witnesses in the murder of Ojha in  2016. Police arrested Mukteshwar Mishra, Shahpur block president, JD(U), from Ara, and Umashankar Mishra from village Sonbarsha under Karnamepur Police Outpost area on September 29, 2018, night.

ASP (Operations) Nitin Kumar said that some armed miscreants had shot dead Kamal Kishor Mishra when he was returning home after collecting fodder for his cattle and injured Amar Nath Mishra, who raised an alarm, at village Sonbarsha village in Bhojpur district on September 28, 2018, morning. Kamal Kishor Mishra was one of key eye witnesses in the murder of BJP leader Bisheshwar Ojha and his statement was recorded in the court on July 9, 2018.

Family members of the deceased said that miscreants were threatening him with dire consequences and had asked him not to give statement in the court. As he did not yield, the miscreants killed him, the ASP said. They said that the police had withdrawn his security after his statement was recorded in the court but the ASP(Operations) refuted the charge and said that the security was withdrawn at his request.

Bisheshwar Ojha was killed on February 12, 2016, near Sonbarsha village when he along with his supporters was returning from village Pasauda after attending a marriage ceremony there. A named FIR was lodged with  Karnamepur police outpost against seven persons including Brajesh Mishra, Haresh Mishra, sons of Shivjeet Mishra. Police arrested 6 of the named accused. But, Brajesh Mishra who is still evading arrest and the government has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head.
