Gaya : Four Maoists were killed in a fierce encounter between police including 205 Cobra Batallion and Maoists in forest area of Baskatwa under Gurpa police station in Gaya district, which started around 12.40 pm on March 8, 2017. Magadh range DIG Saurabh Kumar while confirming the encounter said, ” We rushed additional forces over there.” The place where encounter took place is about 45 km away from Gaya.
Commandant 205 Cobra Batallion said that after encounter police recovered bodies of four Maoists and seized an AK 47, two Insas rifles and one SLR. He said some of parts Baskatwa forest fall in Nawada district.
