Federer enters 3rd round of Stuttgart Open

Patna : World No 2 in ATP rankings and top seed Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, entered the third round of Stuttgart Open, Germany, beating World No 54 Mischa Zverev, 30,  Germany, in three sets. Federer beat Mischa Zverev 3-6, -4, 6-2 in the second round. Mischa Zverev is the elder brother of World No 3 Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany.

Mischa Zverev fired 7 Aces to 5 by Federer. But, Federer’s winning percentage on both first and second serve was better than that of Mischa Zverev. Federer committed one double fault while Mischa committed two. Federer won 4 break points to 2 by Mischa Zvrev. Both the players three games in a row each. Mischa Zverev, however, gave a tough run to Federer.

World No 17 Loucas Pouille, 24, France, also entered the third round beating World No 303 Rudolf Mollekar, 17, Germany, 6-3, 6-4, in the second round.
