Federer, Djokovic, Berdych enter 4th round of AO 2018

Patna : Defending Champion and World Number tennis player Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, six time champion and Number 14 seed Novak Djokovic, 30, Serbia, and Number 19 seed Tomas Berdych, CZE, entered the 4th round of Australian Open (AO) 2018 on January 20, 2018.

Number 2 seed Federer defeated Number 29 seed Richard Gasquent 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 while Number 14 seed Djokovic defeated Number 21 seed Albert Ramos -Vinola, Spain, 6-2, 6-3, 6-3, in the third round to enter the last 16. Number 19 seed Berdych defeated Number 12 seed Juan Martin Del Porto, Argentina, to enter the fourth round of AO 2018.

In the Women’s section, former AO Champion and Number 21 seed Angelique Kerber, Germany, defeated charismatic Maria Sharapova, Russia, also a former AO Champion and at present World Number 48, 6-1, 6-3. World Number 88 Su-Wei Hsieh, Chinease Taipe, upset Number 26 seed Agnieszka Radwanska, Poland, 6-2, 7-5 to enter the round of 16.
