Patna : Jaishree, whose father Krishna Muktibodh of Rental Flat, 79, Kankerbagh, Patna, was arrested by police on March 26 late night for mercilessly beating her, celebrated her fifth birthday with cops on March 27, 2019. She was offered birthday cakes by cops of Kankerbagh and Mahila police stations including their SHOs besides Members of several organisations at her Rental Flat, 79, residence. Even some journalists reached her house and extended their good wishes to her. She was later handed over to Child Welfare Committee.
It may be mentioned here that a video showing Jaishree’s father mercilessly beating her at their Rental Flat in
Kankerbagh locality on March 26 late night had gone viral on social media. Her mother Naina had uploaded the video drawing attention of the people to the plight of her little daughter. The video was then uploaded on the sites of some senior police officers of the state capital.
Later, a police team reached girl’s house and arrested her father Krishna Muktibodh in drunken state on the charge of mercilessly beating his daughter. SHO, Kankerbagh police station, Ashok Kumar said that girl’s father had been forwarded to judicial custody. He said that when the cops came to know about the fifth birthday of the girl, they offered her cakes to
celebrate the occasion.
Sources said that girl’s mother Naina had estranged relationship with her husband, who used to torture her and her three
daughters. She left her husband’s house about eight months back and is staying with her relative in Jharkhand along with her two daughters. However, her third daughter was left behind at Patna.
