Bagaha : The farmers of different villages under Bagaha-2 Block under Bagaha Sub-Division in West Champaran district, who had come for Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs) and agriculture loans from the banks, created ruckus shouting anti-government slogans before Block Agriculture Office (BAO) as neither any banker nor Revenue Karmcharis was present there. The farmers had to return disappointed.
The farmers, who had collected in large number at Block Agriculture Office seeking Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) and agricultural loans from banks, included Chhote Srivastava, Mohan Prasad Gupta, a retired engineer, Munna Khan, Amarnath Prajapati. The farmers said that they came to know through advertisement and local agriculture office that a agriculture loan camp will be organised on October 15, 2018, where the bankers, Revenue Kramchari, and other officials will be present for issuing KCCs and agricultural loans. But, neither any banker nor Revenue Karmchari was present there, they alleged.
Birendra Kumar, the officiating Block Agriculture Officer, Bagaha-2 Block, said that all the bankers concerned and Revenue Karmchari and officials were invited to the camp as per the Government directions.
