Farmer murdered at Saharsa village

Saharsa : Some unidentified criminals killed a farmer of village Golma under Patarghat police outpost under Saur Bazaar police station in Saharsa district Umed Das on May 27, 2017, night, using a sword stick ( Gupti) when he was sleeping on a raised bamboo platform (Machan) outside his house after taking dinner. The reason behind his killing is suspected to be a land dispute.

Incharge, Patarghat OP, Kamlesh Kumar, said that he was informed about the murder of Umed Das. He said that the wife of the deceased has informed police that her husband had a land dispute with a neighbour a few days back. Prasad said that the killers would be arrested at the earliest. He said that the body was sent for post-mortem to Saharsa Sadar hospital.
