Sasaram : A frustrated farmer Raju Singh, 45, son of Vijay Yadav, committed suicide at village Pokhraha under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district on late August 9, 2017, evening. A named FIR was lodged with Nasariganj police station against two persons : Birendra Singh Yadav and Upendra Singh Yadav, but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. Later, police brought the body to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Nasariganj police station, Samrat Singh, said that Raju Singh had given Rs 4.5 lakh to Birendra Kumar Singh for a piece of land but Birendra Singh Yadav neither returned the money nor registered the land in Raju Singh’s name. On August 9, Raju Singh went to Birendra Singh Yadav asking him return him at least Rs 5,000 for the payment of the school fees of his son but Birendra not only refused to give the money but also assaulted him. Frustrated, Raju Singh committed suicide on August 9 evening.
