Bagaha : The internal difference in the Bagaha unit of Congress party came surface at a function organised at Ambedkar statue, Bagaha, on November 19, 2018, to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi when former MP Purnamasi Ram strongly objected the name of a congress ticket aspirant for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls Sanjay Kumar Yadav in the banner.
Ram had a sharp exchange of words with Bagaha-2 block Congress Committee President Ramashankar Dubey over the issue. Some local leaders intervened and pacified both the leaders. Dubey alleged that Ram had slapped him but the latter strongly denied the charge.
Later, the Congress leaders paid tributes to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi recalling her services to the nation. A day long dharna was also staged by congress workers at the venue to protest soaring prices of essential commodities.
