Ara : A team of Economic Office Unit (EOU) from Patna with the help of local police on March 6, 2018, conducted raid at the Branch Office of the Sankalp Srijan Company housed at Apoorva Tower in front of Ara Sadar Hospital under Town police station. The raid continued for about six hours. The EOU team searched all the registers and documents of the office. The head office of the Sankalp Srijan Company is at Bikram, Kanpa in Patna district, and its branch office is operational at Ara for the last eight year.
SDPO, Ara, Sanjay Kumar, on March 7, 2018, said that police had received complaint that this company realized money from the customers under banking system. SHO, Town Police Station, Ara, Jai Prakash Singh said that the RBI had complained that the Sankalp Srijan Company is a production company and is not registered with the RBI but was functioning as a bank. He said that the RBI had sent a letter in this regard and an investigation was going on the basis of this letter.
Praveen Kumar, Director of the company, said that his company is based on agriculture. A number of farmers are linked with the company. The company is registered with Registrar of Companies (ROC) and makes ‘sattu’ ‘besan’ ‘flour’ and other articles under small industries.
